Hi all – today’s tip comes from the author, Jessica Ruston:
When I’m trying to get a lot of words written in a relatively short space of time, I make sure that I take 10 minutes at the end of every day to sit and think through what is coming next. I write a short list of what I plan to write the next day, any problems that needs solving, quick outline sketches of scenes. This means that when I open up my document the next morning, I can hit the ground running, and I’m not wasting valuable writing time with thinking about where I am in the story.
Jessica is the author of Luxury, To Touch the Stars and the forthcoming The Darker Side of Love.
