Hello – today’s tip comes from the food and travel writer Michael Booth. For those of you who have just joined us, we are sending out a month of daily tips and advice from published writers, publishers and agents to provide inspiration, support and help during this cold month.
My tip is simply to write: by which I mean, when things aren’t flowing, just try to assemble some words in a reasonably logical order, and keep doing that until things do begin to flow. Even if, at the end of the day, you have something even Jeffrey Archer would wince at, at least you will have something to work with the next day, rather than having to face the fearful horror of another blank page.
Michael is the author of four books, his most recent, Eat, Pray, Eat was published in the summer by Jonathan Cape. Check out his brilliant food/travel blog here.
