How to get ahead of yourself today for a good start to your writing tomorrow

When I’m approaching the end of a chapter and am ready to knock off for a G&T, I write the opening lines of the next chapter before I down tools for the day. It gives me the feeling of being slightly ahead of myself and makes it easier to hit the ground running when I get back to my writing.
