The simply getting it done part of writing generates a huge amount of discussion on every forum. Here’s a top tip from that discussion:

Many writers (and other kinds of artists) complain of being stuck… There’s a great app called Unstuck which offers a range of tips to get through blockages.

If you’re a writer, it’s a good idea to do just that – write! If the inspiration doesn’t come, just write 3 pages about a walk, your breakfast, or an item of news, it really doesn’t matter what it is you write about. This simple action often stimulates the brain into action, and you find yourself coming up with thoughts relating to your project.
