Day 27 of Stay Warm and Write Month

Hi all – thank you so much for joining us for Stay Warm and Write Month. We’ve had some great tips and advice from top agents, writers and publishers and we’ve really enjoyed your feedback.

Today we have some advice from the writer and freelance editor/consultant, Will Atkins.

Paul Valery’s maxim ‘A poem is never finished, only abandoned’ goes for novels, too – and non-fiction, for that matter. In other words: let it brew but don’t let it putrefy!

Will, previously a publisher at Pan Macmillan, is now writing his first book,Moor Land: The Landscape that Makes Britain. Faber will publish in 2014.
